Bob Marley Posters keep alive the memory of the most popular and revered reggae performer – Robert Nesta “Bob” Marley.

Jamaican born singer-songwriter and guitarist, Marley fused ska, rocksteady and reggae in The Wailers and later in Bob Marley and the Wailers.

Today, Bob Marley is the most widely known, and revered reggae musician and performer in the world.

Additionally, he is credited with spreading both Jamaican music and the Rastafari movement worldwide. Bob Marley’s influence is still being felt today.

The son of a mixed marriage (his father was a white Jamaican of English descent, and his mother a black Afro-Jamaican) he recognised and reflected on his racial origins throughout his life. During his life, and in part due to his religious beliefs, he self-identified as Black African, and expressed their struggles against oppression in songs such as “Black Survivor”, “Babylon System” and “Blackman Redemption”.

An outspoken opponent of South Africa’ s Apartheid policy, Marley wrote several songs (most notably “War” and “Africa Unite“), staged several political concerts and was invited to perform at Zimbabwe’s Independence Day Celebration in 1980.

Bob Marley Mellow Mood

Bob Marley Mellow Mood

There are many types of Bob Marley posters available. In addition to the classic head shot  and guitar playing performance posters, there are also posters that are inscribed with song lyrics, such as Mellow Mood. Every day when you see this poster you can be inspired by his words and carry his message with you all day long. Of course the words will always get your mind wanting to sing along so you won’t be able to help but keep the reggae in your day. The lyric poster also shows Bob Marley’s message is just as powerful without the music. Keep the poetry and message alive, or just sing along if you’re not sure of all the lyrics.
